The hill resort of Pachmarhi is a popular summer getaway and holidaying destination for tourists in and around Madhya Pradesh. Satpura National Park
Tucked away in the Satpura mountainous ranges, Satpura National Park rests in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. Set up in 1981, the park borrows its name from the Satpura hill ranges (Mahadeo Hills). An important wildlife sanctuary of India, the park shelters a rich biodiversity amidst its terrains.

Bee Fall
Now known as Jamuna Prapat, the Bee fall is located 3 km from the town and provides drinking water to Pachmarhi. Many tourists prefer to scale the roads leading to this fall, on foot. The place is popular for its bathing pools and spectacular backdrop and is an ideal glade to enjoy with friends and family.

Tamiya
Tamiya is a beautiful resort located 78 km from Pachmarhi. The place overlooks Narmada valley and provides some spectacular view of the Dudhi plateau. The sunset point of the place gives some magnificent views of the setting sun. The beauty of the Satpura hills girdling the landscape of Tamiya can be best witnessed from this spot. Tamiya is easily accessible from Panchmarhi and one can hire buses (government and private) or jeeps to reach the place.

Bori and Pachmarhi Sanctuaries
Bori and Panchmari sanctuaries constitute a part of 'Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve', along with the Satpura National Park. Both these wildlife resorts cover a total area of 4501.91 km². Bori range stretches from the foot of the Pachmarhi hills to the Tawa and Denwa rivers and is located deep in the valleys. Panchmari sanctuary is harbored at the top. Enveloped with thick forests of teak and sal groves, they help tourists to explore the various species of wildlife of the region. Fauna like Gaur (bison), barking deer, tiger, leopard, sambar and wild boar are among the many attractions of these places.

Muktagiri
Excursion trips from Panchmarhi should include a quick visit to Muktagiri. Situated 97 km from Betul, it is perched on the lap of the Satpura mountain ranges. It is an ancient Siddha and Atishaya Kshetra and is especially famous for encasing 52 Jain temples, belonging to the 16th century. Some of these temples are rock-hewn. The place is a revered site amongst the Jains. Devotees swarm the place, especially during the festivals like Chaitra Shukla, Kartik Shukla Poornima and Shravan Shukla.
